1. Check IMEI Number & Bill Properly

Always check the bill when buying a second hand smartphone. Take a look at the bill date and check the IMEI number. Phone and bill must have the same IMEI number. You can also check the IMEI number by dialing " *#06# " in the phone otherwise go to Phone setting and click on About phone option. You can see all phone detail including IMEI Number.

2. Use the phone for a minimum of 15 minutes before purchasing

This is very important to keep in mind when buying a second hand phone. This is because the phone works fine when you check it on or off at the time of purchase. But no feature works in the phone as soon as it comes home. Thus, before buying a second hand phone, it should be used for at least 15 minutes. And every feature should be checked. This gives an idea about the processing capacity of the phone, the problem of hanging and the problems like heating. 

3. Check the parts with the looks

When buying a second hand smartphone, the look as well as the body of the phone should be checked to see if there is any damage. Also check if all the parts provided in the phone like mic, speaker, camera are working properly. 

4. Test the phone(Diagnostics test)

5. Avoid fraud

The popular e-commerce website is currently selling refurbished smartphones. If you buy a phone from someone on social media(Instagram, facebook, Etc), meet that person in person before making a payment. This is very necessary in terms of security.
